Exit Poll Predictions

The Maharashtra state assembly elections are going to be held on 21st October 2019, the results of which will be out on 24th October 2019. Meanwhile, many exit polls are being declared by different political analysts, news channels and experts. A majority of these polls have claimed that the BJP- Shiv Sena Government will be back in the state. According to these polls, Honourable Mr Devendra Fadnavis will be appointed as the Chief Minister of the state again. The BJP Chief of Maharashtra- Honourable Mr Chandrakant Dada Patil contested for the said election from the Kothrud-Pune constituency. All exit polls claim that the new MLA of Kothrud will be Mr Chandrakant Dada Patil only, despite many other conspiracies surrounding this decision.

To present some more insight into the matter, when Honourable Mr Chandrakant Patil’s name was declared as the Mahayuti candidate for the Kothrud Pune constituency, the decision wasn’t accepted readily by the communities in the area. The matter was politicized on the basis of caste and local-outsider factors. However, Shri Chandrakant Dada Patil has been successful in resolving every conspiracy surrounding his name as Kothrud Pune candidate. Due to his continual efforts, experience, and public relations, he received tremendous success in turning the negative environment into a positive one. Finally, he received huge support from all communities and stakeholders of society.

In such a situation, the NCP and Congress also took a U-turn from this constituency and extended support to the MNS candidate- Mr Kishor Shinde. Due to these factors, the Kothrud constituency was considered as one of the most prestigious constituencies in the state. It was expected that there will be a tough fight between Mr Chandrakant Patil and the MNS candidate. According to exit polls of News 18, Lokmat and IPSOS have predicted that the Mahayuti will secure more than 220 seats in the exit polls. Furthermore, 41 seats will be secured by the NCP and Congress. All exit polls have claimed that Honourable Mr Chandrakant Dada Patil will secure victory at Kothrud Pune.

Senior Shiv Sena leader and former Chief Minister- Mr Manohar Joshi has predicted that the Mahayuti will win at more than 250 constituencies and Mr Chandrakant Dada Patil will succeed with a huge margin of around 1,60,000 vote lead. Mr Chandrakant Dada Patil had also predicted the same figure during one of the news channel’s interview.

To sum it all up, all exit polls have claimed that the Mahayuti Government will come back again in the state. It also means that Honourable Mr Devendra Fadnavis will receive a second term as the Chief Minister of the state. Also, the prestigious constituency of Kothrud will be led by Mr Chandrakant Dada Patil only. In this way, Shri Chandrakant Patil will be successful in overcoming all challenges faced in his journey up until now such as caste-based politics and the local-outsider discrimination. On 24th October, the election results will be out, and many new equations will be derived with respect to Maharashtra’s political matters.
