Briefing of Press Conference Held at Mumbai


Maharashtra State elections have been declared on 21st October and a lot of buzz, as well as rumours, are surrounding the next Chief Minister and Deputy Chief Minister positions. All media channels are also giving significant footage to this news. In this situation, another masterstroke was played by the Shiv Sena yesterday- declaring Mr Aditya Thackrey’s plan to participate in elections through the Worli constituency in Mumbai. Once this news was out, rumours started surfacing around the Deputy Chief Minister position of Maharashtra.
When the BJP President- Honourable Mr Chandrakant Dada Patil was asked about his views on this news, he replied that nothing has been decided with respect to the Deputy Chief Minister position as of now. Mr Chandrakant Patil recently attended a press conference in Mumbai. During this press conference, he also informed that he will be participating in this election through the Pune-Kothrud constituency with a view to respecting the orders of the BJP seniors. He further added that the discussion on seat allocation between the BJP-Shiv Sena alliance has been finalised and its details will be given out to the media soon.
When Mr Patil was asked about the negative feedback of Kothrud-Pune people regarding BJP’s election decision, he replied that the party doesn't belong to a single person and that in politics, it is mandatory to follow the responsibility bestowed upon you by the party since only those who do justice to the work, receive more opportunities in the future. Therefore, it is an excellent opportunity for him to prove himself by getting elected as the MLA of Kothrud in Pune.
During this press conference, Mrs Medha Kulkarni- the present MLA of the Kothrud-Pune constituency, was also questioned about her disappointment with the party, to which she said that her work is only being acknowledged by the fact that the BJP Chief of Maharashtra has chosen her constituency for the upcoming election. Also, she will take care that Dada gets elected with a great lead.  
In this press conference, Mr Chandrakant Patil has not given any clear idea regarding the Deputy Chief Minister position in the State. Earlier, the Shiv-Sena had projected and launched Mr Aditya Thackrey as the Deputy Chief Minister of Maharashtra. However, due to the reply given by Honourable Shri Chandrakant Dada Patil, it is not yet clear as to if this position will be created with the new state cabinet or won't. Also, the preparation for Mr Chandrakant Dada Patil’s victory on the Pune-Kothrud constituency has begun and it is expected that the present MLA- Mrs Medha Kulkarni will provide him with full cooperation. This attitude of the BJP leaders is highly appreciable and it focuses on their dedication towards work for their party despite the positions offered or any other such aspects. Mr Chandrakant Dada Patil and Mrs Medha Kulkarni- both have sportingly accepted the changes and are ready to implement all social work with mutual cooperation in the region. This attitude, loyalty with the BJP principles and their social responsiveness distinguishes the BJP leaders from others, and this happens to be the biggest strength of the BJP.
