The decision of 5 Rupees Meals At Fodder Camps Is Highly Appreciable

The Agriculture Minister of Maharashtra state, Honourable Mr Chandrakant Dada Patil has been engaged in different drought relief activities in the state for a long time now. The team of the Honourable Chief Minister, Mr Devendra Fadnavis is busy in drought relief programmes for Maharashtra state. Recently, Agriculture Minister, Mr Chandrakant Dada Patil visited a fodder camp at the drought-affected village of Karmad and appreciated the decision of offering meals to the farmers at a price of Rs. 5.

Revenue Minister, Mr Chandrakant Dada Patil conducted the drought review meeting for Aurangabad and Jalna districts. On Sunday, 2nd June, he visited a fodder camp at Karmad. During this visit, he said that the Central Government has contributed Rs. 4500 crores for 151 drought-affected Talukas in the region. Also, provisions have been made to avail sufficient amount of fodder until June end. Around 15,014 fodder camps are active in the state and more than 10 Lakh cattle have been admitted in these camps.

Honourable Revenue Minister, Mr Chandrakant Dada Patil assured Maharashtrian farmers that they shouldn’t be worrying themselves much with regards to the drought condition since the government is supporting them completely. The condition is very severe in the state; there is a scarcity of water too. But tanker water supply has been made available in more than 5000 villages and 10000 colonies in the state.

Honourable Dada Patil informed that fodder camps have also been started for goats and sheep in the state. He further said that the government has made provisions to allow farmers to take their cattle for agriculture purpose. He also informed that for fodder camps, tanker water supply has been made active and farmers can utilize its benefit. According to the weather forecast department, monsoon won’t be arriving in the state in time. To support the farmers in this severe condition, tanker water supply has been made available on an immediate basis.

Honourable Revenue Minister, Mr Chandrakant Patil urged the farmers to implement advanced technologies in their fields. He also recommended farmers to opt for sprinkler systems and more plantations. Honourable Minister, Mr Chandrakant Dada Patil also appreciated the Market Committee for the decision of offering meals to the farmers at fodder camps if they need to stay over there, at a mere cost of Rs. 5. He assured that fodder camps will be active in the state till monsoon completely arrives.

During Karmad fodder camp visit, a few other prominent attendees were- Assembly President, Mr Haribhau Bagade, Regional Commissioner, Mr Sunil Kendrekar, District Collector Mr Uday Chaudhary, MLA Mr Atul Save, Dr Bhagvat Karad, Mr Radhakisan Pathade, etc.

The initiatives of the State and the Central Government for the drought-affected areas in Maharashtra state have been truly relieving for the farmers. In this severe drought situation, Agriculture Minister, Mr Chandrakant Dada Patil has come up with an extremely positive approach and step-by-step remedial measures for defeating the drought situation. This type of positive and optimistic attitude was hardly seen during the Congress Government and it has been possible for the BJP Government to achieve this because they were fully prepared for the situation since November 2018 itself. This pre-planning, innovations in decisions and commitment to the farmers have been noticed by the masses and the media too.
